Mail in your own handwriting

You can scribble on almost any Amida screen and email that to anyone you like. So when you come across an interesting webpage, it is easy to draw your friends attention to the interesting parts.

And since you are not limited by what you can type, you can send an e-card in your mother tongue (Telugu, Hindi, Chinese, Urdu, whatever), or draw driving directions to a party venue and email that. (For more on this, please see Doodle n Mail)

One-Tap Mail

Amida's patent-pending One-Tap Mail takes the chores out of email (eg. Opening an email program, choosing the recipients email ID etc.). You have the ability to send email from any screen (say, photo album or Khatha) to that one special person, with just one tap of the stylus. All you need to do, is fire up your Address Book, and decide who that special person is: boyfriend, son or boss!

Voice Mail

There are times when words and written messages just would not do for example, how do you convey the emotion of a new born babys gurgle to someone halfway across the world? With Amida, you simply record it (or a boss's dictation, or a lion's roar in a zoo) and email it.

Incoming Mail

With Amida, you can store your incoming email locally (ie, on Amida itself), so if you want to see an old email, there is no need to connect to the Internet.

Amida also allows you to preview your email before downloading, using a technology called POP. You will appreciate this, if you have spent minutes downloading a number of large messages, only to realize that half of them are spam.
